This DIY was inspired by my client who kept on complaining about her dry skin and how she’s used different creams but to no avail.
So… This DIY is great for acne prone skin it can also be used as a face cream… It moisturizes and hydrates the skin,it tones the skin and even better, it is great for all skin types.
- One cup of shea butter
- A quarter cup of coconut oil
- Two and half tsp of vanilla extract
- 3 teaspoons of lavender oil
- I tsp of vitamin E oil
The lavender helps to soothe sensitive skin and get rid of inflammation.
The first thing you want to do is heat the Shea butter on low heat.
Once it’s melted, mix in the coconut oil, vitamin E, lavender oil and lastly the vanilla extract. I used a little of chamomile oil but it’s totally optional
After mixing everything, put the mixture into the fridge to solidify.
Get your container ready by sterilizing it. I use apple cider and hot water to sterilize…#oneofmyweirdestmethods
Now the mixture is frozen solid….get a mixer or a blender though I’d prefer using a mixer…whip it till it becomes fluffy.
finally this is what you ll get
Nice and fluffy
Put this into a container of your choice…it can be stored at room temperature and van be used for three months tops with no side effects.
