Do you ever feel the need to write down things you’ve experienced? .. I always want to jot whatever counts in my life and I also felt the need to share with my readers some of the things I’ve learned this year.
I collaborated with a few friends and they shared their stories of their body shaming experiences. I wrote an article about that.
While growing up,I was among the few people who gained alot ofweightt. I gained alot from when I was 9-12 years old. I wonder what happened then, but at a time,I got really sick and that made me loose alot of weight. The four years of being over weight affected me so much. But good thing I was still little, and so it didn’t affect my self esteem so much as it would affect the average teenager.
My point is,I got a deep meaning of body shaming when i heard people’s stories of what they went through for either being over weight or too thin.
This year I’ve learned not to get affected about comments made about my body, good or bad,no body is perfect. #loveyourbody.
Yay!!! ,,Selflove!….This is probably the main thing I’ve been focused on this year. Self care isn’t really about taking care of your body only. It’s about getting to know yourself, loving yourself, respecting you, knowing your strengths and weaknesses and still accepting who you are.
Sometimes we may feel guilty about something we did, that we end up hurting ourselves and denying ourselves happiness.
Ive learned this year to love myself.
This year I’ve learned to forgive myself most of all and forgive others. A friend once asked why we need to forgive ourselves. It’s just like what I wrote on Selfcare. Treat yourself right, dont hurt yourself.
Let go of memories that keep hurting you. This year I’ve learned and I’m still learning to let go of the pain, the let downs, the negative emotions, the past.but its not easy. #outwiththeoldinwiththenew
You saw that, Friends.
I’ve learned that only a few people are my friends and that most people who I’ve been so loyal and good to, are actually the ones hurting me the most. I’ve learned not to give too much for so little. I’ve also learned to never forget the good people who have been there for me. My friends.
I’ve learned to always speak my mind no matter what,I’m still learning to.
I’ve also learned to keep an open mind because only then, can I learn more.
